Carbon is the 15th most abundant element found in the earth’s soil and it is also the fourth most abundant element by mass in the universe.
Its chemical structure allows it to bond with itself and many other chemical elements to form nearly 10 million different compounds.
There are 4 types of Carbon steel grades based on the amount of Carbon present in the alloys:
- Low Carbon Steel
- Medium Carbon Steel
- High Carbon Steel
- Very High Carbon Steel
